P4 Practical Child Pedestrian Safety Training

On Tuesday 26th November the P4 year group headed out with excitement on their Practical Child Pedestrian Safety Training.  The damp weather and continuous rain did not deter us from walking around our local area.  With our coats zipped, hoods up and hi vis vests on we walked up St. Brigid’s Hill, round by Drumbreda Walk and on towards Drumbreda Gardens.  Mr Gareth Mc Ilwaine (EA Road Safety Officer) reminded us of the Green Cross Code and the importance of finding a safe place to cross the road.   We were alerted to the various road signs and hazards along our journey.
