During the month of October the Primary Five children were studying the topic ‘Our School and Surroundings’ as part of the World Around Us curriculum. This led to the children doing some art work entitled ‘Cityscape’ inspired by local artist Olive Duffy. The teachers were so pleased with the children’s efforts that they decided to send photos of the children’s work directly to the artist. To our great delight, we received a very complimentary response from Olive Duffy and three signed prints from her as a gift to the school. We appreciate her lovely gift to us and thank her for taking the time out to recognise and to encourage the children’s artistic endeavours.Well done Primary Five!
