St. Patrick’s Win Inaugural Owen McAfee Memorial Cup

A fantastic morning of football was hosted by Armagh Harps GFC this morning in memory of their former player, Owen McAfee. Organised incredibly well by Sean Farry, Armagh Harps' Culture Officer, the morning was a wonderful tribute to Owen, with several of his former teammates and friends present to assist with the running of it.

We are delighted to share that our Boys' football team ran out deserved winners, having won their group before defeating CBS in a brilliant final that was played at lightning pace!

The joyous celebrations afterwards were a sight to behold! Huge congratulations to all of our boys, including our other team who battled hard all morning but fell short in their group stage.

Thank you to Armagh Harps, Sean Farry, Owen's former teammates and particularly Owen's family who facilitated such a good competition. We look forward to returning next year!
