Farewell to Staff Members
This morning’s assembly gave us a chance to say thank you and goodbye to a former staff member, Mrs Sinead Butler, and a current staff member, Miss Eimear Harnett.
Sinead’s farewell was a long overdue one, having left St. Patrick’s during a period of school closure a few years ago. With work commitments in her new school, today was one of the first times she was able to come back to visit us. Sinead was a very highly-valued member of staff during her time here, forming close bonds with the pupils and staff who she worked with. She worked in the classroom with pupils, in the office, at Breakfast Club and Fun Club. Thank you, Sinead, for of all of your work and effort in St. Patrick’s.
Miss Harnett’s farewell brought an end to her time as the teacher of the Engage Programme in St. Patrick’s. Since the beginning of this school year, she has been working very closely with groups of children in P6 and P7 on a daily basis, helping to inspire confidence in themselves and their learning in both English and Maths. The children who worked with Miss Harnett enjoyed their time with her. She has been a popular addition to our staff this year, and we thank her very much for all of her efforts in St. Patrick’s.
Thank you again to both Sinead and Eimear - everyone in St. Patrick’s wishes you health and happiness in your future careers.
