Awards Celebrated at Assembly.
2nd Mar 2026
At this week’s assembly, the winners of our recent ICT/Art competition for P4-P7 that were part of Safer Internet Week were announced, with some stunning creativity on show.
Our two Primary 7 winners, Cara and Rudy, were commended for their "Catfish" posters which demonstrated the importance of understanding that not everybody online is always who they say they are. Their fantastic use of contrasting colours for each poster were both particularly notable.
The winners in the Primary 6 competition, Karina and Cait, were chosen because of how well they displayed the two sides of Artificial Intelligence: the pros that can help us in everyday life, and the cons that can be more damaging and destructive. Both were great pieces that were creative and also very informative.
In Primary 5, Rioghnach and Arya were chosen as the winners for their depiction of a "Cyber Hero," someone who can educate and help us protect ourselves online. Their creations were very impressive, coupling detail with imagination very well.
Our winners in Primary 4, Sofia and Rachel, had the task of creating posters to help and support children with advice to combat cyber-bullying. Their efforts were praised for their colour and sharing their important messages.
We also had some lovely news at the end of assembly when some of our girls told us about their achievements outside of school.
Two of our talented Irish dancers told us of their recent participation and success in Feis na Lorgan, with Jessie telling us about her trophy and Fianna sharing her two medals. Well done to both girls on doing so well.
We also had our P5 pupil, Mariah, bring in a trophy she earned at St. Brigid's camogie training. Mariah was awarded the U10 Player of the Week in her very first week with the club - hopefully a sign of a good season ahead for her in a new sport.
Well done to everyone whose success was shared and celebrated this week - we are very proud of you all.
