City of Armagh Speech and Drama Festival 2025

Last week, the City of Armagh Festival of Speech and Drama was held in The Market Place Theatre, and we were very pleased to see so many of our pupils entered as participants.

Performing in a Speech and Drama competition can be a very daunting experience, so Mr McKinley congratulated every child who entered, sharing how proud he was of them for having the bravery to put themselves out there and give it their best. Not only that, but this week in assembly, they also performed their poems in front of all their classmates. They had no fear though, as they had been expertly prepared by our very own Miss McLoughlin.

Well done to all who entered. We'd like to give special mention to some of our pupils who were awarded medals and certificates for finishing in the Top 4 places in their section: David, Mariah, Charlie, Logan, Annalivia, Reevah, Logan, Amber, Ruby, Aoibheann, Senan and Tonijs.

We'd also like to give extra special mention to one of our P7 girls, Holly, who finished in 1st place in her section, with her poised and engaging stage presence being given credit, as well as her clear and expressive delivery. Well done, Holly - super job!
