Congratulations to two of our pupils, Conchuir Slevin P7 and Oisin Mc Grattan P6 who represented St Patrick’s PS during their school summer holidays. Both boys took part in the Poc Fada Hurling Challenge during this summer’s West Armagh Community Festival. Both lads had to strike a Hurling ball from their hands as far as possible both working as a team. The team who managed to get the ball furthest after two strikes progressed to the next round. The boys won round after round and made it to the final where after two outstanding strikes of the hurl were crowned as Poc Fada champions for 2019. A super achievement by the boys. They both received winners’ plaques for their efforts and brought the first silverware of the new year into school were they were congratulated at assembly in front of their teachers and peers. Well done again lads.
