Gaelic football success.

This week saw the long-awaited return of competitive sporting action for our pupils when our Gaelic Football teams from P6 and P7 travelled to Pearse Og Park.

In a day packed with fun, determination, sportsmanship and above all, terrific skill, all four of our teams performed tremendously well and did St. Patrick’s proud.

Both teams of boys made it to their respective finals in the Cup and the Shield, unfortunately narrowly missing out in both finals to a ‘Golden Score’ after incredibly hard-fought battles.

Our teams of girls both made it to the semi-final where they were drawn to play against each other! An intensely competitive game saw our P7 team come out on top and progress to the final.

It was in this final that the girls put on their best show of the day and ran out winners!

Thank you to Pearse Ogs for organising and hosting a fantastic day.

A big thank you too, to Mr O’Hare’s “helpers” on  the day, Mr Adrian Mc Gurgan, Mrs Louise Corr and Mrs Brenda Gill. Their support of school activities is very much appreciated by all staff and children. Thanks again.

Congratulations to all of our 47 P6 and P7 players on the day for the heart, effort and skill on display. Well done!
