Goodbye and Happy Retirement to Mrs Deirdre McCoy
This morning, we gathered as a whole school to mark a very special but sad occasion in St. Patrick’s.
After 29 incredible years of dedication, care, and laughter, we said a heartfelt farewell to Mrs. Deirdre McCoy, our much-loved lunchtime supervisor.
Since starting in 1996, the same year her daughter Tanya joined our school as a P1 pupil, Deirdre has been one of the constants in St. Patrick’s. Always ensuring high standards, showing kindness to every child, and bringing her sharp wit and sense of humour to every lunchtime. Her commitment to creating a safe, happy environment for our boys and girls was always greatly appreciated
Thank you, Deirdre, for your hard work, your warmth, and the high expectations that helped our children thrive. You will always be part of the St. Patrick’s family, and we wish you health and every happiness in your retirement!
