Green Fingers and Mucky Hands for Eco-Committee

13th May 2024
Last week's sunshine provided the perfect opportunity for our Eco-Committee to get outside and commence the revitalisation of our school's grounds, beginning with the planters at our front door.

Dipping into the Eco-Fund that was raised on our Green Day in March, the planters were given a new lease of life with a fresh coat of paint, and we took delivery of 60 new plants from Kevin Vallely of our neighbours Vallelys’ Cottage Garden Plants.

Ably assisted by our school's new Caretaker, Greg, and Mr Kelly, the boys and girls spent an afternoon layering fresh compost and bedding in our beautiful new plants. Green fingers turned to brown hands as our Eco-Committee got stuck in.

The finished product looked fantastic. The first step of our revitalisation complete, keep an eye out for more in the near future. Well done to all of our Eco-Committee members.
