Hurling and Haircuts in Primary 3
21st Oct 2025
Our Key Stage 1 assembly provided the opportunity for two of our Primary 3 pupils to share with us what they have been up to lately, and it was wonderful to celebrate them both.
Firstly, P3 boy Tadhg had not one, but two medals to show to everyone. More impressive than that, they were for two different sports, football and hurling! Being good at one sport is a blessing, but being good at two certainly isn't luck - it's through effort and dedication. Well done, Tadgh.
Our second bit of news to share was from our P3 girl, Matilda, who many in school had noticed looked a little different recently. Had she grown taller? Maybe. Was it new shoes? No, not that. Was it the fact that she had 11 inches cut off her hair? That was it!
Making the very brave decision to chop her locks, Matilda was inspired to not just donate her hair to The Little Princess Trust, but she also managed to raise over £1000 for them! What a fabulous embodiment of some of the values we love to see in our children like care for others and bravery. We are all very proud of your generosity and courage, Matilda. Well done! ?
