Mrs Thornton's P1s settle in

September is a busy time for the new P1 children!!

Each day they brave the classroom with so many new things to learn.  They are making new friends, meeting new adults, finding their way around a new school, learning where everything goes in the classroom and learning the new rules and routines of the class.

As if that’s not enough-  matching, sorting, counting, pencil control work, nursery rhymes and in particular Humpty Dumpty, feature strongly in what they are asked to do!!!

Who said, ‘Sure they only play in P1!!’
