P7 visit Palace Stables for Victorian “Boxes in the Attic”
29th Jan 2025
Our Primary 7 boys and girls had such a fantastic outing to the Palace Stables this morning, participating in their "Boxes in the Attic" workshop.
This gave an insight into life during the Victorian Era, their area of study in their World Around Us topic, with particular focus on what it was like to live and work at the Palace Stables during this time.
They had a hugely interesting and entertaining time meeting the Head Butler and School Master Armstrong, as well as the terrific guided tours from Paul, Alan and Sylvia where they visited the Primate's Chapel, the Servants' Tunnel and Smoke Room beneath the Palace, the Ice House and Kitchen.
A fabulous visit which really enhanced their understanding of Victorian Life. Thank you to the staff at the Palace Stables!
