Primary 7 End of Year Awards Assembly

This morning was an opportunity for our staff to recognise and praise the effort, kindness, care and achievements, both academic and sporting, of our P7 pupils across the school year and indeed their 7 years in St. Patrick’s Primary School.

What an absolutely wonderful year group, with talents and abilities spread across a wide spectrum of school life. From Maths and English, to Art and Music, to Football, Camogie, Hurling, Swimming, Irish Dancing and Athletics. Involvement with the School Council, the Eco-Committee, sports teams, School Choir, and the Sacrament of Confirmation - this year group has had it all.

We in St. Patrick’s are immensely proud of each and every one of our P7 pupils as their journey in our school draws to a close. From the early days of Primary 1, right through to their position as role models in Primary 7, it has been a pleasure for our staff to watch them grow, mature, laugh and learn. They have been a credit to themselves and to their families. We have been delighted to play a part in their formative years, and we are hugely excited for what is to come in their future.

Their school year ends on Tuesday 27th June with a Primary 7 Leavers’ Mass in St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 10.00am. Following this, they will return to school around 11.00am for a final celebration. Family members of our P7 pupils are invited to attend mass and return to school afterwards for the final celebration before taking their children home. We hope to see you there.

Congratulations to all of our award winners, and to all of our P7 pupils. A special word of thanks should be reserved for their teachers Mrs Bennett, Mrs Perry and Mr O’Hare, and their assistant Mrs Koviere. You have given our pupils a tremendous final year in St. Patrick’s and a beautiful send-off.
