Quiz and Football Teams in Action
11th Feb 2026
Some of our older pupils have had a very busy time of it recently, with many representing the school with pride and distinction at several events across the last few weeks.
First, we had two teams of quizzers travel to the Tommy Makem Centre in Keady to participate in the Cumann na mBunscol Quiz. It was a fantastic and very enjoyable morning.
We had a girls team and a boys team take part in Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Gaelic Blitz in Abbey Park, with our girls just missing out on qualification for the county finals due to a late goal. Unfortunate, but some brilliant performances and victories across the morning.
Most recently, we had several of our P7 pupils participate in the Credit Union Quiz, again hosted in Armagh Harps' wonderful Jack Bratton Centre. In a hotly-contested quiz, our teams performed very well, with one of our younger teams tied for the lead going into the last round. Finishing level for qualification, they entered into a tie-break round, just missing out by a single point at the end.
It is a great honour to be able to represent your school at events such as these, and the children pictured did so with such excellent manners, behaviour and effort. They were a great credit to us all.
