Safer Internet Assemblies with Digital Leaders

5th Feb 2026
As part of our study of Safer Internet Week, we have had two fantastic assemblies delivered by Miss Somerville and our school's Digital Leaders on how to keep safe online.

Our KS2 assembly educated our pupils on the advancements in Artificial Intelligence, sharing the many benefits of it but also making them aware of the many pitfalls associated with AI. Particular focus was paid to the generation of AI images, how to spot them, and what to do if you are subject to an attempted scam using these images. We had some excellent questions asked and answers discussed on a topic that our boys and girls must be familiar with as they grow.

Our Foundation and KS1 assembly had our fabulous Digital Leaders deliver an important message to our younger pupils about how to be smart and stay safe online. They talked about all of the good things that they love and enjoy doing online e.g. watching YouTube or playing games (although strangely no one said doing their homework...), but also about the importance of never sharing personal information or talking to strangers online. It was a really interesting assembly with lots of lively discussion. Well done to our Digital Leaders on helping our young boys and girls stay safe online.
