Swimmers Take on Apple Blossom Gala

Each year, the Apple Blossom Swimming Gala takes pride of place in the sporting calendar of Armagh schools, and this year was no different. On one of the hottest days of the year, there was no better place to be than the famously cool and breezy Orchard Leisure Centre's viewing gallery to watch the best swimmers from across Armagh compete.  

Our school's swim team, comprised of athletes from P5-P7, did St. Patrick's proud, coming second overall in the Apple Blossom Gala race and in terms of medals won - a superb performance across the board! 

Special mention to Aoife in P7 (Freestyle) and Cian in P6 (Backstroke) who both won Gold in their individual races!  

Congratulations to all of our swimmers who represented our school with great pride on the day - their behaviour, effort and respect for others was exceptional. 

Thank you to the organisers for their time and effort put in to running an excellent event.
